The photographs of Chloe and Johan’s wedding have just arrived from the photographer and they are too beautiful not to be shared.

Chloe looked exceptionally elegant having swapped her day to day uniform of jeans and converse for a stunning 1920’s style, silk chiffon dress with antique beading, by Collette Dinnigan. In true British style, Chloe and Johan travelled from the church to the reception, in a vintage Austin-Healey.

The reception was held at Johan’s parents home, Bourton House in Gloucestershire. The house had been charmingly decorated with multi coloured balloons, reminiscent of Chloe’s favourite Tim Walker photograph.

A wonderful day was had by all, especially Finn, Chloe and Johan’s adorable son, who had every guest wrapped around his little finger. The MiH team had a little too much fun.

We will be forever grateful to Steve McQueen for looking so good in denim.

THE STYLE

This look is inspired by an outfit worn by Audrey Hepburn in ‘Two for the Road’, a late 1960’s film she starred in alongside Albert Finney, which inspired our Roadtrip jean. It is laid back chic; stylish yet fun.

WHO FOR

The woman who knows her own style and takes inspiration from past decades as opposed to current trends. This woman wants to get up and go.

WHAT TO WEAR IT WITH

Tuck a vibrant piece of MiH Jersey into the high waisted MiH Roadtrip jeans, throw on a pair of Bensimon tennis shoes and a vintage style leather belt from ASOS and top the understated look off with a simple Juliana Cassandro bangle from Matchesfashion.com.

MiH HQ is buzzing with excitement as the limited edition collection of jeans we created with Liberty will be hitting stores (and website) next week.

Inspired by the 70s, we’ve come up with two exclusive jeans – our bestselling Marrakesh jean in bold Liberty purple velvet and our super skinny Vienna jean with a bleached feather print called ‘Dakota’ – taken from a fabric our design team found in the Liberty archive.

Even the hang tags are inspired by the original ones Liberty used in the 70’s.

Chloe has just got back from her Honeymoon on the tiny and incredibly peaceful Greek island of Patmos. The island is about a million miles from anywhere – it took 24 hours of travelling (with baby in tow!) to get there via a flight to Turkey and several small boat trips.

She even managed to fit in some culture around her hectic beach/pool/boat schedule, visiting Hora, a UNESCO heritage site where St John wrote the book of Revelations.

After weeks of inspiration meetings and a lot of very hard work, our SS11 lookbook is finally finished and being printed as this post goes live. Marloes Horst, our SS11 model and muse, really stepped up to the mark and looks incredible in every shot. We aren’t sure which we want more: Marloes’ figure or the Breathless jeans in the vintage summer washes.

At MiH HQ we are totally obsessed with the movie My Girl. We love everything from the styling to the soundtrack, to the adorable friendship between Veda and her best friend Thomas, to the batty granny. Obviously we aren’t quite so keen on the ending.

All summer we have been throwing on our cut-off London Boy Shorts with a pair of battered Converse trainers and a great piece of jersey or a checked shirt for the ultimate Veda-esque styling.

On a recent trip to Portobello Market we discovered an unbelievably cool stall selling vintage work-wear. The clothes were all imported, mainly from France, by a super quirky guy who gave out old photographs with his details stamped on the back instead of business cards.

He was selling trousers, shirts and jackets made from beautiful linens, twills and even moleskin in a variety of faded blues and khaki greens. As the garments were all genuine vintage pieces they were showing signs of wear but had been repaired with delicate hand stitch and patches.

While rummaging through a suitcase of denim on the same stall we pulled out a pair of vintage FU’S shorts and couldn’t resist snapping them up for the MiH Archive, as FU’S was a brand launched by Chloe’s father in the 70’s.

Sam Haskins is one of our favourite 1960’s photographers and there is a well thumbed and most definitely cherished copy of November Girl in the MiH Jeans library.

We love the grainy textures, the way the images tell such a vivid story, the beautiful girl, the gritty scenery and that the photographs still feel fresh and exciting despite their age.

The MiH Jeans creative team are currently at  the Dorset coast for our Spring-Summer 2011 look book shoot. Hopefully the sunshine will hold out for a few more days, but should the British weather let us down, it might even help in our pursuit of atmospheric images like this.
