VINTAGE GEMS

On a recent trip to Portobello Market we discovered an unbelievably cool stall selling vintage work-wear. The clothes were all imported, mainly from France, by a super quirky guy who gave out old photographs with his details stamped on the back instead of business cards.

He was selling trousers, shirts and jackets made from beautiful linens, twills and even moleskin in a variety of faded blues and khaki greens. As the garments were all genuine vintage pieces they were showing signs of wear but had been repaired with delicate hand stitch and patches.

While rummaging through a suitcase of denim on the same stall we pulled out a pair of vintage FU’S shorts and couldn’t resist snapping them up for the MiH Archive, as FU’S was a brand launched by Chloe’s father in the 70’s.
